Pin-type moisture meters are the only kind of instrument on the market today that tell inspectors what is really happening beneath the finish coat of an EIFS clad structure. Delmhorst's BD-2100 moisture meter is the perfect tool to indentify problems in EIFS. It uses insulated contact pins to penetrate through the cladding and determine the condition of the sheathing. This method helps the inspector indentify the source of moisture intrusion, and to determine if dry rot has occurred.
